We all tell a lie from time to time, we skip facts, or we just change reality to our convenience to prevent loss, pain, anger, etcetera. Ive learned through experience that its better to try to be good with all our environment n life, so we can accept life itself and our own self, then avoid hiding truth or changing reality to others. Because when you lie, someday that fact or truth you have erased in your life, will come and hunt you down. Its very hard for me, its hard to accept that we are not who we want to be, and that probably we will never be anything near that.
But this band its called White Lies for different reasons i think, i dont really know i just know they are new, they fucking kill it live, just check that perfect performance of their single Death, amazing track.

INXS
I knew the name INXS, which I consider it one of the greatest rock bands name:
-"Whats your band called?"
-"INXS"
-"In Excess you said?"
-"You spell it I-N-X-S"
-"Thats genius mate! thats fucking good"
I knew a few songs and i knew the story behind Michael Hutchence death, but it was not until i watched Donnie Darko when i became very fond of them. Donnie Darko was the only movie ive seen more than twice in one day, yeah, it was 3 times! We bought some candy, rolled a fag of weed and made some tea, it was day and it was bright, so we put on the movie, perfect timing. The first round ended up leaving me confused and very curious with a lot of questions about life and god and time travel. We went out to smoke a little more and talk about the movie, but we decided we had to get into the vessel again and watch it for a second time, so we could understand a little more, or at least try. The second round was full of interruptions, pause and talk, pause and internet, pause and munchies. By the afternoon we had to talk about it again listening to that Gary Jules song "Mad World" (I recommend that track), we were trying to chain the spots and making up our own version of the philosophy of that movie.
Never Tear Us Apart - INXS live
Now i love this track and i love dancing to it, i think it has a perfect compass for a warm, soft, sensual dance, and well the hooks are very sexual. "Never Tear Us Apart! Taratarara! and then the piano goes in again".
Third round? Well, one of my friends arrived and started to hear our talk about time traveling, dreams and god. She had to watch it, right there, and we were up for it.

Patrick Wolf
I crossed the line between being drunk and the next following thing, i drank Ricard, discovered absinthe, wrote a song and i had to give my self to libertinism and then, run the risk of being free.

Interpol
Paris, nothing to do, alone, bored... so i found out Interpol was playing around Pigalle at this place called, la Boule Noire, so i decided to take the few euros i had, dress completely in black and go. Im outside and i see the line to get in, im there standing waiting, and i hear its a private concert given for a radio station, the venue was not even open for the public yet, and you had to be a vip or invited by the radio station. So i move out from the line and go check on the doors, i see the list and i see two huge black french bouncers looking pretty fucking mean. Then i see a guy going in, then out to that huge white broadcast bus next to the venue, and everything around my head was like that, turning around trying to find a way to get in. I remember then, Tabs (girlfriend of the guitar player of my friends band) saying, yeah my sister went to school with Paul Banks, he was this dirty nerdy loser that used to be bullied at el ASF...
Si! a perfect bluff. So i go back in the line, i wait to get to the door and as soon as i could control my nerves, i tell the bouncer im in the list, and i go in straight to the list guy, i give him my name and he searches me, and searches my name again and again, just to tell me: well i cant find your name are you sure you were invited? i go like: yes, Paul Banks, the singer, invited me, we went to school together in Mexico, you could go ask him. So he sends somebody and i had to wait there at the entrance, most of the people was already in, and i was really nervous, but i couldnt go back, i had to play the whole hand, once you call the all in, theres no turn back. So im playing my part waiting, trying to look relaxed and the guy comes back, tells the other guy something i couldnt hear, and he comes to me to tell me... Im sorry if you are not on the list we cant do anything. Everything crashes, i go out to the cold, but before i use my puppy eyes to give my last: please? but i found no success and the cold air from the empty street was inevitable.
Obstacle 1 - Interpol live at NBC
The guy from the bus: eh! toi, fille, ouais toi, viens la, tu veu voir?
Pandy: umm, okay.
The guy from the bus: regarde la télé, on est entrain d'enrengistrer.
Pandy: oh! merci beaucoup.
So i watched the concert outside the venue over this small tv from the door of a broadcasting bus. It looked a little bit like this video, but with not such a big production work. This was back in 04, it was the black sessions show and was taped, recorded and broadcasted live on Radio France.

The Subways
Fuck thats aggressive! But the band playing behind the montage was killing it, who the fuck are these guys?
Well after traveling around internet and trying to find out what was that music, i did not just find their cds, i found a lot of videos and info about them, and i like them, for real. I found this guys are new enough but already played Reading Festival twice, the front man and the cool as fuck little crazy girl who plays the bass, were going to get married but broke up during the recording of their second album, which i can tell its not such a great effort as their first one. Buy their first record, its fucking class (british accent).
That aggressive energy filled up riffs spread something, that kind of feeling that makes you want to just bounce around filling the air with a voice that might not sound very angelical but full of careless animal instinct going crazy that might put you in mood to go on and forget about all that fucking world that mess up our heads everyday, and just hang out having fun, not caring about tomorrow or any other fucking day.
We need that kind of escape from time to time... so ill leave you with that relief.

Special Mention to: Radioheads In Rainbows!
Nobody really cared to ask why the Kings of Leon won the Best Album of the Year 2008s Poll if the winner entry with 6 votes was Radiohead with their album In Rainbows, well anyway heres the explanation:
After talking to some friend about the Radioheads album i was informed that this person obtained the album at a late year 2007, and he actually remembers the album as one of the best works of that year but then thinks about it as a 2008 work because, as we all do, we think it came out last year, and well it did, it came out physically in the USA on January 1st, but officially the album was released worldwide on October 10th 2007 through the internet (WikiFacts!).
So Radioheads In Rainbows was disqualified and Kings of Leon took the first place with 3 votes and a happy Pandy yay! hahaha (not that it meant much, i mean who cares about this anyway?).
I think All I Needs the best effort from the English band in this record thats indeed one of the best works weve seen through the last years.

Best Album 2008 Poll Winner... Kings of Leon!
So, we had a close end these last days with votes and votes and expectation, we didnt expect it to be a hard one for the KOL guys, they for real killed it last year with an amazing album and single. The Sex On Fire and Only By The Night names spent a long time over the tops and if it wasnt because most of the people had bought the album already, they would be up there right now.
Because you guys (thanks for reading me) asked for it, ill leave you with the winner, i couldnt find one that i could post with better quality, but if you want the real "HQ" they give over youtube, go there and type:

Sir Elton John in Mexico
It was a magical moment.
Sir Elton John represents just a small memory in my childhood and even if i love his work and i tend to play his songs a lot during breakfast, and i sing and cry to them... its not to me what ive seen in the eyes of the elder adults around me during one of the most emotive moments ive ever seen in the mexican stages.
Playing for a small crowd (a lot of people didnt know a shit about his music), at el beautiful Colegio de las Vizcainas, prepared to be a perfect venue for him and his long piano, made people dance, cry, sing, scream, live a total dream. I enjoyed the night passionately and i will never forget it.
I was dancing shyly while being navigated softly by love, my head could hear our hearts beating fast to the rhythms, and my body could feel that safety warm touch that embraced me making me feel im not just a dreamer.
Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word - Elton John live in BBC 1976
