Beat The Devils Tattoo

Ive been gone for a while but today i wake up to this song, tired but good, an atmosphere grey color, and of great beauty.

My room is a place i decided to decorate on ispiration of movies, i tried to give it an atmosphere that will also fit me and make me fit it, it indeed changes my perspective of life. Its a dark place... do not misunderstand me, lights get in bright most of the time, but it is the atmosphere, and i am not a dark woman at all, i get my hippy side coming out from time to time, but i am indeed a rocknroll girl, no matter how fresa i can look on working dayly basis, i enjoy wearing leather jackets and playing BRMC in days like this.

I soon will miss this room.

But im happy, ill move to a place much more myself i think... And ill make sure this atmosphere follows, and with this new BRMC album, its a fact and a guarantee... by the way, dont you just want to sing this and dance like a native american? I love the hair on eyes, jeans and bra, white tank top, boots combo!

You cant be more badass, and the new girl... Leah, i would kill if i could fill in your place, but im no musically apt... i now can play Imagine on piano!

I know ive been gone but here i leave a song i love:

BRMCs Beat The Devils Tattoo!

Sorry few folks readers, i havent been up around too much lately. I know no excuse is good but i have to say something here: i need a break! Too much things to do, wedding planning isnt easy, plus they kill me at work and being a new just converted straight edge woman is hard too (im not straight edge for real haha).

But i have to post this because BRMC is my fave band and their new record deserves a proper mention over here... my blog (which im planning to give new image and a little new turn, plus i might start a youtube channel! good news huh?).

So, the first night i heard Beat The Devils Tattoo was incredible, it took me by surprise and after that New Moon soundtrack BRMC song (Done All Wrong, which is now one of my fave BRMC tracks) i had made up an idea of where the boys (and new girl Leah) were heading, and i was delighted.

But i was terribly wrong, BRMC didnt start making and all mystical journey, neither did they go back to the Howls acoustical folk rock, they didnt start making a record that was already shaped into the usual standards of rockstar bands (the likes of the KOL), no, boys and girls, these guys decided to produce their own album and shape it as they wanted: an all original new BRMC album, following their lane, following their heart.

Beat The Devils Tattoo its an album you should pay attention to, its for fans, it takes you back to the Indian reserves, to the 90s grunge, to the usual combo of badass shoegazing while folk rock, to the faded guitars and vocals, with new drifts from the sweet female voice (of what i believe was Leahs work), new effects (we know they love it and we dig they love it), new atmospheres, new drifts, hooks and sentiment.

If you can find it around, buy it, they put it out from their own new record label Abstract Dragon.

I love this song, it came out from the infamous Howl album.

Emotion

I decided to entitle this post emotion because the video youre about to see shows explicit images of intense emotion.

I believe that nobody can tell us how to do our stuff, how to live our lives, how we should love, how we should think, how we should do anything, i belive that we only must do it passionately... and the irish boy did it.

Nirvana

I was a real poser back then... i remember, i would write on my schoolbag "NIRVANA" only because my older sister friends would always listen to them, and Kurt Cobain was their god, i didnt really know Nirvana back then, i just knew they were older and they looked cooler.

I must say that Nirvana was never my favorite or anything like that, i think i like a few songs and i think this guy Kurt was a genius, but i didnt live the Nirvana 90s decade like most fans of them, i was much more into different bands and i was very influenced by my parents likes, which made much more of a hippy flower than a grunge rebel girl, then later around 2000 i started with 80s Rocknroll and Punk... But ive always said...

Nirvana? They kicked ass!

As i just said when i was asked if i wanted to see their just released DVD from their legendary 92s Reading Festival headline slot.

Julian Plenti

I never thought Paul Banks or his alter ego Julian Plenti could be this badass. Look at his black side, he smokes, hes chewing gum, he has a knife, hes with a good looking girl, and i dont know what this video is about but hey, they seem to be doing something bad.

I mean whats up with music videos? They launch this visual and they play the song over it, we can make up our own story, we can relate it to the lyrics, we can create whatever we want, of course, under the atmosphere of the video. Some of the great videos of all times tell us stories, some other just come out with nice visuals, nice frames, or cool situations... but the best are the ones that create an atmosphere, which i think thats what music videos were created for.

Julian Plenti will play here in Mexico, Paul Banks comes this time alone, no Interpols masters of creating atmospheres, but i bet the lead singer will be apt for the challenge and i dont want to miss it.

This is one nice video.

Cold Desert

"Of my cold thumbs, they are numb, its 4 am and i dont know why im awake, when i could have been dreaming im still saying goodbye, to the 12 days away year gone, to the past, to the last resource of that old lost motivation, that was fine back then but now it burns.

Im sitting by the window leaning on my bed, and i dont know why but i dont seem to want to be up there, to warm myself alone, not when im not solo anymore. I say goodbye to the days when i was awake, when i was living on reality and dreaming was just one of my few escapes and try agains. Now im a dreamer, im a girl standing on the shore, looking at the sky and ready to go fly." - myself

Cold Desert is a song that says goodbye to the past, embrace it and then let go. I, sometimes regret a few things, but i try to embrace it and when im done with it, i let go, but somethings are just impossible for me, sometimes you cant let go, and it will hunt you down all your life probably, you will carry this loan your whole life, and if you dont learn to say goodbye to it in anyway, you will never be able to dream again.

Cold Desert - The Kings of Leon live at the O2 Arena on the Best DVD ive seen in a long time.
