Sorry few folks readers, i havent been up around too much lately. I know no excuse is good but i have to say something here: i need a break! Too much things to do, wedding planning isnt easy, plus they kill me at work and being a new just converted straight edge woman is hard too (im not straight edge for real haha).
But i have to post this because BRMC is my fave band and their new record deserves a proper mention over here... my blog (which im planning to give new image and a little new turn, plus i might start a youtube channel! good news huh?).
So, the first night i heard Beat The Devils Tattoo was incredible, it took me by surprise and after that New Moon soundtrack BRMC song (Done All Wrong, which is now one of my fave BRMC tracks) i had made up an idea of where the boys (and new girl Leah) were heading, and i was delighted.
But i was terribly wrong, BRMC didnt start making and all mystical journey, neither did they go back to the Howls acoustical folk rock, they didnt start making a record that was already shaped into the usual standards of rockstar bands (the likes of the KOL), no, boys and girls, these guys decided to produce their own album and shape it as they wanted: an all original new BRMC album, following their lane, following their heart.
Beat The Devils Tattoo its an album you should pay attention to, its for fans, it takes you back to the Indian reserves, to the 90s grunge, to the usual combo of badass shoegazing while folk rock, to the faded guitars and vocals, with new drifts from the sweet female voice (of what i believe was Leahs work), new effects (we know they love it and we dig they love it), new atmospheres, new drifts, hooks and sentiment.
If you can find it around, buy it, they put it out from their own new record label Abstract Dragon.
Weight Of The World - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
I love this song, it came out from the infamous Howl album.
